As I have mentioned, the first Ubuntu User Day on January 23, 2010 will be done in both English and Spanish versions. Diego Turcios writes about the Spanish version of Ubuntu User Days, Dia del Usuario Ubuntu on his blog. He writes about it both in Enligsh and in Spanish.

At this past Ubuntu Developer Summit in Dallas, the idea was brought up to create a “beginners day,” similar to Open Week, teaching new Ubuntu users the basics of using Ubuntu. Myself, along with Elizabeth Krumbach, Penelope Stowe and Mark Cox volunteered to take the lead on this project. We have worked over the past month or so to plan and create the very first User Day on January 23, 2010. I reciently decided to redesign my blog, as well as extend the content in it. The blog will now include personal posts about my life, as well as posts involving Ubuntu, FLOSS and other tech related things. I also became an Ubuntu Member, and my blog is now syndicated on Planet Ubuntu.

Last night we held the first Orlando, FL area Ubuntu Hour. We had a total of 8 people show up (two were kids). 5 of the participants are members of the Florida LoCo, and the sixth person had never heard of the Florida LoCo, however after last night has decided to join!
