During the months since UDS – P in Orlando, FL, the Summit Hackers have been hard at work. As of right now, we have modified more than 2400 lines of code and fixed 24 bugs. Today the dates for the next Ubuntu Global Jam were announced, so I went ahead and created first global jam event for the 12.04 cycle which is the 3rd Community Web Projects Global Jam. This cycle we have made a number of improvements to the Summit web app. I am going to list out the changes which will hopefully make life easier for all involved.

Today’s Schedule: You are able to see today’s schedule by visiting http://summit.ubuntu.com/today instead of picking out the date on the Summit site.

On April 1st the Ubuntu Florida LoCo Team will be hosting a Summit Jam in Lakeland, Florida at 10 AM EST. For those of you who do not know, ‘Summit‘ is the web application that is the back bone of the Ubuntu Developer Summit. Summit, written in python and django, tracks blueprints, meetings, schedules, and rooms (and probably more) for the Ubuntu Developer Summit. In recent months, there have been a large number of changes to the translation strings for the LoCo Team Directory. We have also done our best to fix some issues identified by translators to make translating easier. I would like to make even more improvements (if possible) to assist in translating the LoCo Team Directory.
