With the recent announcement of the new “light” look for Ubuntu, I thought that it would be really cool to have some business cards for Ubuntu Members that went along with the new style. I talked to Martin Owens, and he was able to throw together a new design for a business card based on the new boot splash screen.

It is with pleasure that I am introducing you to a wonderful new tool for the Ubuntu Classroom. ClassBot, written by Nathan Handler which will automate many of the tasks that need to happen in #ubuntu-classroom and #ubuntu-classroom-chat on irc.freenode.net. Many hours were spent by Nathan writing the code and testing ClassBot. He also wants me to mention that I wrote the specs for ClassBot and did most of the bug testing. Beginning this weekend, at the start of a session in #ubuntu-classroom on irc.freenode.net, ClassBot will make a dent and tweet to announce the session. The Classroom Management Team will also dent/tweet other announcements for the Ubuntu Classroom.
Please use the hashtag #ubuntuclassroom when denting or tweeting about the Ubuntu Classroom or any classes/events that are happening.

As you may or may not know, Ubuntu has a “membership” available to anyone who has shown significant contributions to Ubuntu. This can be in many ways, not just developing. Being an Ubuntu Member has a few perks that come with it. One of these is that you get an @ubuntu.com email address.
